Thank you all for your commitment, your loyalty, but also your personal trials and triumphs in Iraq, Afganistan and elsewhere abroad in conflict.
None of us can imagine what you are all going through; the heat, the humidity, the uncertainty every day you leave the protection of the barracks and go through the streets to be a force for peace and protection.
The British Army have been the by-word for justice, for freedom and democracy throughout history and continue to be in the eyes of the world; there is really nothing we can say in all these messages we send that can really convey all our pride in all you do and in everything you have committed towards
the army.
God bless you all; and the patience, love and support of your families who continue to be there for you when the uncertainty of conflict facesthem every day of their lives as they support you unceasingly.
Thank you all,
Nancy M Howard BA (Hons)

My prayers are with them. Would you be so kind to offer my deepest condoleances to the family's of

Friday 30th May
I am writing to support the call for the medal to be issued to all seving personnel regardless of length of service. What is so special about 4 years service? Did you know that students who do 4 years in the OTC drinking beer and playing soldiers get one, while regular serving personnel who are right now in Iraq suffering heat stroke, food poisoning, food rationing, and lack of supplies go without. Disgraceful, 'Buff' Hoon should be ashamed of himself. Duncan, Perthshire

Hello,

I can't even put into words the feeling of admiration that I have for each and every soldier. The gut and determination it takes to get through day by day must be immense and you are all well deserving of the glory that WILL be yours on your return. Until then, yellow ribbons are all around and there are quite a few on the Old Oak Tree!
Angela
I would like to congratulate you on this brilliant website. My brother is in the gulf serving with the army and its good to have a place to leave a message of support and also read other peoples; it's reassuring to know people are being supportive of them. Well Done to all our troops out there and I look forward to seeing my brother and all the other servicemen and women coming home soon.
Emma, Kent.
Thursday 24th April
To you all please be safe and come home safe, you're the best, take care.
love lou.
Well done for creating a place for us to all show our support - my Husband is in the RAF but we both have so much admiration and support for everyone serving in all 3 of the Armed Forces, as well as the reservists and TA. Without you all this country would grind to a halt and many people worldwide would never know what it means to be free.

I think that the troops are doing a very good job out in Iraq. I am only 10 years old but I do have a brother who is fighting. I do miss him a lot and wish he could come home but I am putting up all my hopes for him and look forward to him coming home. I would like to thank all people supporting the troops and all the same for the troops familys and relations.
Love sammi
Please would you send me a yellow ribbon to wear in support of the troops - I have several friends in Iraq at the moment and think it is a fantastic idea to show that we are all supporting and thinking about them.

Tuesday 22nd April
I spent two and a half years with the RAF in the Gulf area some 40 years ago so I know what our Service personnel face.
A thankless, difficult and dangerous job in a very uncomfortable part of the world. On the other hand I still believe that one of the noblest things a person can do is fight for Queen and Country.
I still wish I could join you and wish you all well. A young friend of mine is with 18 Sqdn (Chinooks) so at least I will have a eyewitness account in due course.
Keep you good humour, your powder dry and remember the fate of the camel.
Best wishes.
David
Thanks from the USA!
Debi
Our lads and lassies, fighting in a strange country,a country that is totally different from ours, need all the love and support from everyone back here, so if the only way of getting the message across and telling them what a fantastic job they've done and especially how brave they all are, is by our websites, then we need as much support as we can get.Your website is just brilliant.I know alot of them are missing family and friends as i've received over 300 names out in the gulf alone, wanting penpals. So support from everyone back here, will make our lads and lassies feel like it's all been worthwhile. Well done to each and everyone of you. You're simply the best.
Jools @ forces penpals uk
Although as a family we have no direct link with the conflict in Iraq, we have followed it with trepidation, as the Royal Marines are still classed as family, and we have many friends still serving.
We hope that your son will soon be home, and would thank you for your hard work. My daughter Lisa is looking forward to tying a ribbon to a tree for all the troops home coming.
Regards
Treicha

Thank you so much for sending me the yellow ribbons and the sticker, I have been looking for a way to show my support for my husband and the troops out in the gulf for a while and was thrilled when I found your web site. It is a brilliant site, and it is reassuring to know that there are other people out there who also feel very strongly about the importance of supporting our troops. Once again many thanks
Jennie
I will be only too pleased to add a link to your site. My Step Son is also serving in the Gulf so we are also watching events with interest, he phoned two nights ago, so we know he is ok. All the best.

This website is a great way for many people to keep in touch with our armed forces who are working so hard at present. There is not only massive bravery and commitment from all our troops, but a great degree of dedication and support from behind the front line, including from family and friends.
As a Member of Parliament I know the vast majority of British people are proud and pleased with the job being done, especially with the way British troops are now engaged in humanitarian efforts. Keep up the good work and you have my total support in this important task.
Many thanks
Chris Leslie MP
Great job as always by our troops. Keep safe.

Congratulations On Your Web-Site, I have no one in my family out there in Iraq/Gulf but wanted to send my best wishes to all our courageous people out in Iraq.
Seeing all those happy smiling and grateful Iraqi people of Baghdad the other day on the TV screens made me feel very proud to be British knowing of the fantastic job that has been done.
Here's to the safe return of All Our True Grit-Brits. I light a candle and prayer in my heart for their safe keeping. God Bless Them Everyone !!!

I was so glad to find this site so I could send my support to the British Troops fighting to free the good people of Iraq, and help secure the free world from terrorism. The bravery and skill of your soldiers is incredible. I pray for the safe return of all of our coalition troops as well the families of those who have been lost. This generation has more than proven that they also are willing to give all for country and freedom. I know you all must be as proud of your troops as we are of ours. Thanks to you and all who are supporting their efforts.
Allan from Beaumont,Texas USA
Good luck and well done to ALL our lads (and lassies) serving out there and God willing we will see them ALL home safe very soon.
Best wishes

I would just like to say how wonderful your web site is. I do not have family out in the Gulf but I do have two friends who's sons are out there. I wish I could do somthing other than wear my yellow ribbon and have a yellow ribbon round our tree at the front of the house. I have sent a parcel but this seems so trivial, when you think what they are doing out there. I have three sons and at this moment I am very gratful that they are not in the forces. At the same time the families of all our troops out there must be so proud of their sons/daughters. I wish them safety until they come home to the saftey of their loved ones arms.
Take care out there. Loads of love to you all.

What a wonderful site and a great idea. The troops serving abroad do appreciate everything that is done for them and more important to them is knowing that the public care. Our thoughts are with all the coalition forces erving in The Gulf.
